82-year-old Sabine Engström, commonly referred to as Noratanten, is actively involved in integration issues in Sweden. She has taken the matter into her own hands and opened her home to new immigrants.
“Since I started to get involved with what I am passionate about, I only feel younger and stronger for each day”
- Noratanten
She grew up in Germany during World War II and experienced Nazism up close. At the age of 20, Sabine Engström left Germany for Sweden and when she in 2017 saw that Nazis were planning a demonstration in Gothenburg, her involvement was got stronger. She went to Gothenburg with a placard to demonstrate against the Nazi “Nordiska Motståndsrörelsen”.
“I never could have believed that there are Nazis in Sweden. When I saw that there are, I decided to do something. I think love is millions of times stronger than hate.”
